Event Notes

× A production for all ages, "Joy." takes the viewer on a journey through the darkness we all face in order to find joy on the other side.

NANAIMO CONTEMPORARY BALLET proudly presents

JOY. | Light in a time of darkness "Without dark clouds in our lives, we would never know the joy of sunshine." ~ Billy Graham

A celebration of the human spirit and its resiliency.

"Joy." invites its viewers on an interpretive journey based on the relationship between hardship and joy and the connection they share. Dancers explore how negative feelings, influences, and environments can alter their emotional state and ultimately steal joy. Joy. brings original pieces of choreography in ballet, contemporary and improvisation together through a triumphant timeline that extends through despair that emerges in brightness.

The online program available here.
