× Quadra Cultural Events and Latitude 45 Arts are very pleased to present Janelle Fung on piano and Marina Thibeault on viola. They will perform works from Marina Thibeault’s Juno-nominated album Elles which honors women pioneers in composition, pedagogy, and performance from Clara Schumann to today.

Canadian pianist Janelle Fung has performed in concert from coast to coast in Canada, including tours with Prairie Debut and Jeunesses Musicales du Canada. Winner of the “Artist of the Year” award from the BC Touring Council in 2014, her international concerts have taken her to over twenty countries on five continents. Ms. Fung is an avid chamber musician and has been a prize winner in numerous national and international competitions.

At nine years old, Marina Thibeault was the youngest violin student to enter the Conservatoire de Musique de Québec. A renowned Canadian violist, Thibeault has since won numerous honours and distinctions. She has released two albums, Toquade (2017) and ELLES (2018), to critical acclaim. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the Curtis Institute of Music and a master’s degree from McGill University, where she is currently completing her doctoral studies.
